Titanfall 2 - DLC 1 Includes New Titan Kits, Map, Pistol and Execution

Respawn have confirmed that the first DLC for Titanfall 2 will include a brand new selection of Titan Kits, the classic Angel City map, a new Pistol weapon and a new pilot execution. This is the first of many FREE DLC packs that players can enjoy for TF2.

The name for DLC 1 is simply: Angel City's Most Wanted, relating strongly to the fact that this DLC re-introduces the classic Angel City map.

I'm not surprised that new Titan Kits have been included here, it was the likely choice for new content seeing how the original kits were fairly limited upon release. I'm guessing that over the next few months we'll see Pilot Kits next and then possibly new Boosts added to the base game.

In case you didn't know, Respawn have kept to their promise and will be offering FREE DLC for the lifetime of Titanfall 2! Players do not have to purchase any of the DLC packs and none of the DLC will feature pay to win extras or in-game credits to convert to DLC content. Players do however have the option to purchase two Prime titans, each one coming with a new chassis and execution only.

Following the news of DLC 1, fans have rejoiced in the free DLC model which is certainly a most welcome change to the greed shown by other companies. Keep up the good work Respawn and congratulations on the recent awards!!

DLC 1 - New Features

Angel City Map

The classic map from the original Titanfall game will makes its reappearance in TF2 DLC 1. The map will be entered into all appropriate multiplayer game modes e.g. Attrition, Bounty Hunt etc.

New Titan Kits

There are six new Titan Kits included in DLC 1, one kit for each of the Titan's. At first glance it looks like Tone and Legion get the best deal here, with Tone's burst fire Titan Kit sounding very strong for an already strong Titan.

Ion: Refraction Lens
Splitter Rifle splits 5 ways

Scorch: Scorched Earth
Flame Core ignites the ground, leaving thermite in its wake

Northstar: Threat Optics
Enemies are highlighted while zooming in

Tone: Burst Loader
Aiming allows the 40mm to store up to 3 shots to burst fire

Legion: Hidden Compartment
Power Shot has two charges

Ronin: Phase Reflex
When doomed, Ronin phases out of danger

Wingman Elite Pistol

We don't know much about the new weapon besides it's name. Obviously it's going to be a pilot weapon that consumes the secondary weapon slot.

Pilot Execution - Inner Pieces

Phase into an unsuspecting victim. Nice!

Prime Titans

Two new skins for existing Titans, also includes an alternative doomed titan execution. Note: These must be purchased with real money.

Release Date

The release date for DLC 1 is the 30th November for those who preordered the game and 3rd December for all other players. So, if you didn't pre-order the game you must wait until the Saturday to play the new DLC.
