Titanfall - How to Get Rare Burn Cards - Unlock Ogre Titan, Stryder Titan

Burn Cards are one time only perks that players can use either at the start of a game or after dying in Titanfall. There are many Burn Cards to unlock, with some exceptionally rare cards that unlock new Titan Chassis - Ogre and Stryder. I'll show you exactly how to get those rare cards and unlock the best Titans.

First, if you haven't been playing Titanfall for very long you won't have unlocked the Challenges. These Challenges appear in the game menu, just below Burn Cards and are essential for unlocking new Burn Cards. There are literally hundreds of Challenges in Titanfall and the most taxing of these will earn you some rare Burn Cards including the new Titans.

Players often confuse rare Burn Cards with luck or just doing something different during the game, but this is not true. Burn Cards and Challenges go hand in hand - it's not a random reward system.

Once you earn a Burn Card you'll be able to select it under the Burn Cards menu. There are 3 slots which you can fill with Burn Cards of your choosing before you start a new match. Remember once a Burn Card has been used, it'll disappear from your inventory and you'll need to earn that particular card again by completing more challenges.

Challenges come in various tiers, with higher tiers of a particular challenge sometimes earning you several cards at once, or even 3 of the same card in one go. In addition to new perks you'll also earn XP rewards for Challenges.

Ok enough explanations, if you want to unlock the epic Titans (Ogre and Stryder) these are the Burn Cards and Challenges you want to keep your eye on are:

Burn Card - Reserve Ogre

The Ogre Titan is the bulky beast with incredible armour and offensive capabilities, but compromised by rigid movement. Considered the "Tank" by Titanfall architects, this is a very sought after Chassis.

To get access to the Ogre you can unlock the Reserve Ogre Burn Card that allows you to deploy an Ogre Titan to the battlefield. The Burn Card is unlocked by doing a hell of alot of walking, 400 KM to be exact, but the reward is amazing.

Burn Card - Spare Stryder

The Stryder Titan is another of the higher tier Titan Chassis that comes with improved abilities over the basic Atlas. The Stryder Titan gets unlimited dash thanks to its lighter exoskeleton, making it easy to slash other Titans and surprise players from behind. When used in combination with quick attacks, the Stryder is a nifty and versatile Titan that warrants it's higher tier status.

With the vast improvement in speed, the Stryder Titan sacrifices armour protection instead. Experienced players will not be phased by this as inaccurate fire is a major contributor to any Titan's downfall. If you can dodge enemy fire using the swift speed of the Stryder you can prolong the life of your Titan considerably while confusing and frustrating slower opponents.

Again, similar to the Ogre unlock you need to cover a certain distance. This time you need to cover the distance (130 KM) inside a Titan rather than as a pilot. There are alternative Challenges to unlock the Stryder but dropping Titans on other players is a rare feat.

Burn Card - Ghost Squad

Ever wanted to become permanently invisible? Ghost Squad is what you want then! This Burn Card grants you a permanent cloak while playing as a pilot. As you're probably aware, cloaked players become semi-transparent making it easier for them to move between enemy lines and cross open spaces.

If used at the start of a match the Ghost Squad card will help you infiltrate enemy lines and reduce your Titan build time by getting some early kills.
