Titanfall - Respawn Reduce Gooser Challenge from 50 Kills to 5 Kills

Following the recent community feedback, Respawn have decided to change the Gooser Challenge so players now only need 5 kills instead of the previous 50. As most of you probably know the Gooser challenge was part of the Generation process from Generation 5 to Generation 6 - it has been a hotly debated topic because of its extreme difficulty.

Respawn admitted that they went too far with the Gooser Challenge, especially considering the unique conditions that have to be met for players to achieve ejecting pilot kills.

We're glad they've changed the challenge because it was ridiculously hard. Trying to kill ejecting pilots is less about skill and more about luck - depending more on the opponents Titan loadout and conditions.

For example, enemy players must eject from their Titan rather than stay on to the death. Other friendly Titans could nab your ejecting kill at the last moment - which as more players approached Generation 5 would become more of a problem. Lastly, a cloaked ejecting pilot is extremely hard to kill. Put all that together and 50 kills was extreme.

What if you've already achieved the Gooser Challenge and got 50 ejecting kills?

Well, it sounds like you're in for a treat! Respawn confirmed that anyone on Generation 6 or above will be recognized in a future game update. No idea what that means but you're going to get something that most other players won't have.

When will the limit be reduced, in a patch?

Yes, a future patch will change the Gooser Challenge from 50 kills to only 5. Therefore, if you're in the middle of the Gooser you could choose to wait or continue chasing the 50 mark.
