Titanfall Black Market Now Live

Released on the same day as the Frontiers Edge DLC, the Black Market is the new place to trade in Burn Cards for in-game money and then exchange those credits for other Burn Card Packs or Insignias. It's a thoughtful way to implement money in the game and it's good to see Respawn avoiding the lame pay to win route.
It's not a player market as some thought though, but rather a trading system for yourself. Apart from selling your unwanted cards, players also earn money by completing in-game challenges such as:
- Winning a match
- Completing a match
- First Victory of the Day
- Completing Daily Challenges
- Selling Burn Cards
- At level 50, a percentage of the XP you earn will be converted into Credits
A new tab on the Last Game Summary screen shows you the number of credits earned from the last match. Any match completion will give you 500 credits, with a victory bonus of 250 being applied if you're on the winning team.
Burn Card Packs
There are 8 Burn Card Packs included in the update with each one focusing on a particular theme. For example the Time Boost pack includes cards for gaining XP faster, reduced build time and core charge time, whereas the Ordinance pack includes 6 Burn Cards relating to Ordinance abilities.
The packs included in this update are:
- Standard Pack (5000)
- Tactical Ability Pack (10000)
- Ordinance Pack (10000)
- Weapons Pack (10000)
- Time Boost Pack (10000)
- Intel Pack (10000)
- Titan Pack (20000)
- Premium Pack (50000)
As you can imagine the expensive packs such as Titan Pack and Premium Pack contain the best Burn Cards for calling in an immediate Atlas or Stryder Titan. Those two packs don't come with the same number of cards as the rest though - only 3 cards vs 6.
Titan Insignias
Insignias are badges that you can buy and equip on your Titans. There are 8 Insignias included in this update and players can attach them in the Custom Loadout screen
- Shadow Runners
- Glory Blazers
- Mercenary Machines
- Hell Divers
- Drop Shockers
- Spectre Legion
- Orbital Assault
- Apex Predators
How sell your Burn Cards
There is no need to be in the Black Market screen for this because you can sell your cards through the main Burn Card screen. Selling is the new replacement for discarding, so pressing LT or RT, which used to drop a card from your collection, will now give you upwards of 100 credits. At least this way you get some money when you trade out the unwanted cards.
