Best Call of Duty Black Ops Multiplayer modes

As with Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty Black Ops contains several multiplayer modes including; One in the Chamber and Sharpshooter.

We take a closer look at the Black Ops modes:

One in the Chamber

You start with only one bullet in your pistol, for each kill you get an additional bullet. Enemies die with only a single shot but if you miss you will be left with only your knife. Its similar in many ways to Golden Gun in the James Bond game.

A real test of your accuracy and covert skills, One in the Chamber could get pretty tactical.

Gun Game

Work your way through 20 levels, for each kill you will get a new weapon and progress to the next level. On the first level you'll only have the pistol gun, but you'll get the sub machine gun and assault rifles and finally finish up with the rocket launcher, crossbow and ballistic knife.

A mode that starts off hard (lets face it the pistol is a pretty useless weapon) and ends hard. See how many levels you can progress!

Sharpshooter

When you start this game mode you'll get a random weapon (which everyone else also gets). Your weapon then changes every 45 seconds from anything from a shotgun to a rocket launcher.

A test of a players skill with various weapons, there will be no one trick ponies when it comes to SharpShooter mode.

Combat Training

Play with a friend against enemy bots instead of online players, either in split screen or online. You can still earn COD Points while you play in Combat Training mode. Enemy bots can be customized so you can set the difficulty level you prefer. Choose any of the Black Ops maps and enjoy!

A great mode for playing at home without the hassle of having to hook up online. With the increase in Xbox Live costs this may become the saviour to those who want to taste a multiplayer experience without the overhead.

Sticks and Stones

Starting off with a Crossbow, Ballistic Knife and a Tomahawk you'll earn points for every kill. However, get hit by a Tomahawk and your match points will reduce to zero. To win just be one of the 3 players with the most points to get In the Money.
