Black Ops 2 - Rumours

It's been 2 years since Black Ops was first announced and boy do we miss it after Modern Warfare 3. We need zombies back, less lag and a decent single player campaign. Treyarch have the innovation to deliver.

Like the tides of the sea, Call of Duty games are a regular occurrence that you come to depend upon. This year see's the return of the Black Ops game in its second instalment – Black Ops 2. Going back to the roots of 2010, Black Ops 2 will include zombies (after complaints about MW3's survival mode) and the traditional weapon system.

Here are some of the Black Ops 2 Rumours so far

Black Ops will launch on Xbox 720 and PS4

There's a slim chance of this one coming true. The next generation consoles haven't been announced yet but then again COD usually gets released in November so that gives them plenty of time to gear up. We'll learn more at E3 but don't be surprised if Black Ops 2 just slots into the existing consoles..xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC.

Black Ops will come to Wii U and PS Vita

The Vita version is almost certain to happen. The console is already out and sales are starting to pick up worldwide. The graphics are better and it's probably the only handheld gaming device that could handle COD.

The Wii U should be released around November/December 2012 so that also fits in nicely with the release date for Black Ops 2. It's got the capability to produce high definition graphics and is perfect for multiplayer games.

Black Ops 2 will continues where Black Ops left off

If you're a campaign player then you're going to wonder where the story goes from here. Well, it's more than likely that the writers will continue the cold war theme. There's talk of a Kennedy assassination and multiple ‘who done it' plot lines. That would make for an interesting game.

Black ops will bring new gameplay to the COD series

It's just go to happen. COD has to keep fresh with each new release. We need new maps, weapons, perks etc. MW3 probably went too far with the upgrade system and all those attachments and proficiencies. More weapon choices including more tactical and lethal weapons would be good.

Black Ops 2 will have a new game engine

Highly unlikely unless the Xbox 720 or PS4 consoles come out this year. They've been making the COD games using the same engine for the past 5 years and this probably won't change this year.

Why make a new game engine if a new generation of consoles comes out in a couple of years? It's a shame but it just doesn't make commercial sense.

Black Ops 2 will be the best selling game of 2012

There's a pretty good chance that it will. Although this year we might also see Halo 4, GTA V, Mass Effect 3 and Resident Evil 6. They're some beefy games that'll take some beating. That apart, COD has such as massive following that people will just buy it no matter what.

Black Ops is also a multiplatform game the stretches from Xbox 360 and PS3 to PC and Wii. Throw in the possibility of Wii U and Vita and you've got market domination.
